Touring Van DVD

From the onset of the tour we filmed our trip on a Sony Super 8 digital video camera. Our plan was to document what it was like from a fans perspective to do a full Pearl Jam tour. We focused on a few themes, one being the Pearl Jam community, the second being our great country of Canada, and lastly the joys and pains of the trip.

Torrent Links

Both torrents are running and actively being seeded. When you have finished downloading please leave your torrent up to help us out with the bandwidth!

Update - July 12, 2007

Go get the latest touring van dvd title "Touring Van - World Wide Tour", featuring Europe, Australia and a brief stop in the US.

Update - January 25, 2007

We are excited to announce that the Touring Van 2006 US Tour movie is complete. Unfortunately, there will not be any copies sent out this time around, as it is too time consuming and I'm back in Australia. However, it is available to download here for free and it is ready to be made as a dvd on your own very easily. The artwork for the dvd cover and dvd disk is also included.
Simply download the torrent file and then using your favourite dvd burning program (such as Nero) to burn the ISO.

Email us if there are any questions. The Euro and Aussie Touring Van movies should be completed at somepoint this year.
Thank you to everyone and have a great 2007.
Jason

Update - May 8, 2006

The last chance to get a hard copy of the DVD through the website will be Sunday May 14, 2006. After this date, you can get one at the CCFA Fundraisers before each show, and I'll also have a bunch with me, so look for the Van. You can always download it off here and make a hard copy yourself or watch it on YouTube.

See you guys on the road!

DVD Update - January 22, 2006

Touring Van 2005 is a film made for the fans. The DVD is not being sold and will not be sold by us or by anyone else, and there will be no profits generated from this project. Any money requested is only to help recoup some of the expenses endured during the production. Sharing the experience is the only goal for the distribution of the DVD. Youre welcome to create more copies to share with your friends and others, however, PLEASE DO NOT SELL copies of Touring Van 2005.

With that said, the DVD for Touring Van 2005 is available through a few options:

1) The DVD is being uploaded to YouTube. So if you don't want to wait for the DVD to download or to get one in the mail simply go here and stream away.

2) The DVD files, along with the labels for the disk and the case, will be put on this website for download though a torrent. The total size of the files is about 4.3 Gigs. When downloaded, you will be able to burn directly as a DVD video (if you have a DVD burner) and you can print out the labels to make your own DVD. To download the DVD (an ISO file) use this torrent. NOTE that we are currently seeding this DVD out with our own bandwidth, something we won't be able to do forever, so please help us out by leaving your torrent open to help others download the DVD. Also this torrent is an ISO image file of the DVD, meaning you need to burn the file, or use Daemon Tools to play the DVD after you download it.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send us an email at info [AT] touringvan.com. To view the trailer of the film, see the Touring Van 2005 trailer. Also here is a photo of what the complete DVD looks like:

DVD Update from Jason - December 04, 2005

The first run of editing is complete. We had a good time watching it last weekend when Cali Joe came up to Vancouver to visit. Right now it has a running time of just over 200mins (around 3 ½ hours), this is already down from the 9-10 hrs of footage we got, so there is still some cutting that needs to be done. The Saskatoon and Winnipeg sections have not been fully completed yet however, but it's close. I am hoping to have the dvd ready by xmas, maybe beat the pj xmas single, although that wouldn't be very tough. Feel free to email any questions.

DVD Update from Jason - October 25, 2005

Ok, an update on the progress of the documentary movie. I'd it's say 65% complete.
These are completed edited:
  • Calgary
  • Kitchener
  • Quebec City

These are very close to being complete:
  • Gorge - Can use some good photos of the view and the concert
  • Edmonton - I just need some photos from the CCFC
  • Thunder Bay - I need some photos of Ed singing Last Kiss from the stands.
  • London - Some good concert shots
  • Hamilton - Some good concert shots, especially with the band in suits
  • Ottawa - working on it, need photos of Ed with the brazilian shirt
  • St Johns - just waiting for the bootleg
These are a work in progress:
  • Vancouver - Need good photos, maybe scenery and views of the city
  • Saskatoon - Need photos from preparty, prairie shots, Ed signing porch in the second row
  • Winnipeg - working on it, some photos would help (maybe if you saw the van)
  • Montreal - working on it, some photos would help (maybe if you saw the van)
  • Toronto - working on it, might need some concert photos
  • Halifax - working on it, might need some concert photos
I am aiming for completion of the first edit in time to do a sneak preview of the whole thing when Cali Joe comes up to visit Vancouver again, near the end of November for Grey Cup (ya, we totally Canadianized him). The final copy will be release some time in December, before xmas.
Again, if you have any photos you like to contribute, please email them to jason [AT] touringvan.com

Of course, the source of all material will be noted in the credits. If you.ve taken pictures of the van, pictures with us, or some good pics of the cities along the way, I might be able to use them as well, or Stefan can post them on the site. Other than that, the movie is coming along great. We have some great footage for a great documentary. There will be sample clips being posted here constantly, so keep checking back. Hope you enjoy them!
