I just finished watching the dvd of Touring Van 2006. Besides catching the last 6 shows of the tour, (not to mention getting every bootleg after every show before that.)

Starting this dvd was like meeting a few strangers, then meeting tons more along the way, just like the part of the tour I was on.

Eventually, they were no longer strangers, and I feel like I know these people now.

This was like a flashback of events that I never actually witnessed, and for the ones that I did witness, it made me want to be on that campground near that van.

Unfortunately, I was long gone.

I got to see the van in Portland. After watching the dvd, I went back through my pictures and realized I've got shots of the van including Dana and Jason.

Excellent.

So, if I had to be critical in any negative way whatsoever, it would only be because I wasn't hanging out with these guys, in this van.

Rock on.

hi guys!!!
please, I´d like to know about Tatiana, the brasilian girl. I meet her in Hamilton, but I lost her email adress. I saw her in Toronto too, and I meet the amazing van (ehehe).
Can you send her e-mail adress??

Thanks!

Hi Jason,

Finally got round to downloading and watching Touring Van 2005.... 2006 is on it's way as I write(I'll keep seeding as long as possible).

First of all, great work. I'm very envious that you got to all the shows... but I also realise what a challenge it is... and it;s a great journey to watch documented, cos you see how it goes from "Woo Hoo a Pearl jam concert" to focusing on the experience... discovering your country... and appreciatting your favourite band from the point of view of the various fans that attend a tour.....

Anyway.... I'm, babbling....

Good work... see you at the next tour...

DVD was great!!! What I really enjoyed was interviews with the fans, very important. Also enjoyed the brief clips of Pearl Jam live. Of course the soundtrack through the DVD was excellent with Pearl Jam Music. Looking forward to Touring Van 2006
Best of Luck!!!
Sincerely,
Wayne Albanese

Loved it! Pumped me up for the upcoming tour. Highlights: The fans of course (interviews, the music into for each was cool, the pre and post parties, just getting to know people with the same diehard enthusiasm). All the fans from Central and South America, Europe was inspiring. The guitar playing in the parking lots and rest stop. The music of course. The scenery, surfing, fan club ticket line.

Recommendations/criticisms: I have no experience in doing something like you did nor with video, etc, so take it as a viewer's perspective. Some interviews with the fans were difficult to hear. Improve the sedgeway from the music into the next scene and back, etc. And I know this is almost impossible to remedy, but sometimes I'm really getting moved by the PJ music and then the song is cut short for the next scene. Probably nothing one can do differently really with the length of songs and so much material to cover.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed this more than the DVD's released by the band in most respects. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved the dvd. I thought that you guys did a great job with the interviews, the flow and the filming of the dvd. My honest, only critism is that at parts the dialogue was hard to hear. The music was loud and perfect, but some of the talking and interviews were hard to hear. I watched it with studio headphones so it didn't really bother me, but I would suggest having better sound for any future projects. Thanks again for giving me an opportunity of having something like this for my collection .

Just got done watching the video. Amazing. Brought back tons of memories.

Canada is just beautiful, breatheless at times. The first time I seen the van in person was when I was waiting to get in at the Labatt Centre in London. It was cruisin down the street, and I said to my buddy, man check that out. Turns out in the video it was a view of us as the van drove by the line. Not sure where I was in that mess of people but I was there. Makes me wanna get back on tour in a hurry. Looks like many great experiences.

But I did have to take some dramamien during some of the video shots, but thats the way. Its underground filmed and that gives it so much life.

Now my one concern. You left the van in St. Johns? Please tell me you cut the sheet metal off where Mikes and Jeffs signatures were?

Thanks again guys, and if your near toledo, ohio, drop me a line!

See you next year.

Man, this DVD rocks! Driving through the beautiful country of Canada they capture all the great scenary, reviews of the shows, the fans, (I would have been in the DVD but I wanted to much $$) crazy parties, just gotta say that I got it today and I've watched it twice, not the whole thing, just bits and peices, its too long. Like one of the guys said after the Kitchener show, PJ's music is universal, its amazing how people from all over the world will fly to any destination to multiple shows just to here this band, never seen anything like it, never will with any other band. All you people bitching about news need to watch this video and realize how good we have it, and how good we will have it again! We are very lucky not just because we have the greatest band of all time, but the greatest fans also, job well done guys, amazing footage!

Downloaded the DVD and watched about 50% of it last night. Seriously excellent work, it looks like you guys had a great time. Wish I had signed on for the final 4 shows like I had planned.
Anyways I just wanted to comment on the fact that I was in the group getting screeched in at Christians in St Johns with you guys. Maybe I was drunk, or oblivious but I had no idea that it was being filmed, so imagine my surprise at watching it!

Cheers
