What are some of your highlights from the shows you attended this tour?
Kitchener . .I have wished for so long. How I wish for you today.. The first show of my live, after 14 years waiting, a 12 hours flight, far away from my hometown and LONG ROAD was the first song I saw alive! Ed trying to play Soon Forget. Mike pointing at me in the end of the show.
London . Stone dancing!!!
Hamilton . A lovely show. The whole thing about the wedding ceremony. Ed pointing to a Brazilian flag and saying: .We.ll be there soon!.
Montreal . Being the only one screaming .Hey Ho let.s go. while Ed was talking about Joey.
Ottawa . I was in the first row! Ed jumping around with my Brazilian t-shirt in his back pocket during Alive. When he came back after the break with the shirt in his hand and put it very gentle over the speaker. At this point I was crying like a child, Stone smiled at me and throw a pick. When the show was over the security guy gave me Ed.s shirt (and I didn.t wash it).
Toronto . U2 in the backstage and Bono singing something that nobody could understand.
Quebec . Seeing the show with the crew (except for Tak, who was asking for some wine in the first row).
What are some of your favorite moments from this tour?
The crazy tour with my friend Kim and Brad in Toronto.
Meeting the Mexican group in Kitchener. And when I saw the van in the parking lot, it was really love at first sight!
The perfect day of Niagara Falls and the great show in Kitchener.
Having lunch with Jason and Tak at a Taiwan Restaurant in Toronto.
Getting lost with Brad inside of the Bell Center, and trying to find a way to get to the floor.
The Ottawa show. Being in the first row was something so unexpected. Brad pulling me out of the venue when I got Vedder.s shirt.
Chatting with Stefan's nephew and getting the conclusion that Wolverine is cooler than Spiderman.
The sweet and unforgettable party in Montreal.
The good talk with Julie in Toronto.
Camping in a beautiful place in the way to Quebec City. Getting lost and finding a great waterfall.
What are some of your favorite moments from riding in the van?
The face of the people looking at the van in the street, some with an odd expression, others were happy and waving, but no one was indifferent.
Try to follow the Pearl Jam.s trucks.
Playing X-box even that I haven.t won once.
Talking with Tom about economic, politic and social difference in the back of the van.
The completely feeling of freedom, of being every day in a different city.
The crew face whenever I asked if we had a hotel to stay.
Meeting the most amazing people ever, the crew and everyone that I could talk to during the trip.
Additional Comments
I always said that going to a Pearl Jam was a goal in my live. After 14 years waiting I just lost the hope they would play in Brazil one day and decided that I should go after them in the next tour. When the Canada tour was announced I thought it would be the perfect moment to make this dream come true.
But actually, this was a very hard decision to take, besides the money I would spend, everything I was saving for 2 years to buy my first car; I got just a few days of holidays, lots of problem in my work and the most concerned thing was my mom, who is still fighting against a fucking disease. So part of me was saying .That's insane. Grow up, you can.t run away from your problems. and other part was like .this trip is everything you need to do..
I admit, I.m a very selfish person and so there I was, going for the best 15 days I could ever have.
Seeing Pearl Jam was incredible. All the shows were outstanding.
However what made this trip so special were all the people I.ve met. Everyone was so friendly, cheerful and always trying to help. Even that we didn.t know each other before, it seems that we were friends for a long time. I learned a lot during this trip. I realized that I wasn.t escaping from anything, I was just becoming stronger. For that reason the van is always going to be 'my tree', the place I'll get strength when things get a little bit harder.
Thanks for the crew for letting me get part of this amazing experience. I had enjoyed every minute and for sure that was one of the best things I've ever done!
